How to report a copyright concern and what happens next.

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Our policy

CineStream respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. The website does not host, upload or store video files. It shows information supplied by TMDB and embeds official trailers from YouTube. We respond promptly to valid notices from rights holders and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material identified.

Submitting a copyright notice

If you believe material linked to or referenced by CineStream infringes your copyright, email a written notice to our designated contact at [email protected] including all of the following:

  1. Your full name, company (if any), address, phone number and email.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  3. The exact URL(s) or location of the material you want removed, so we can find it.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay action. Please do not send attachments larger than 10 MB.

What happens next

  1. Review. We aim to review complete notices within 72 hours.
  2. Action. If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the identified material.
  3. Follow-up. We confirm by email and may inform the affected user.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] with your contact details, the material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your signature.

Repeat infringers

We may suspend accounts of users who are repeatedly the subject of valid copyright notices.

False claims

Knowingly submitting a false notice may expose you to liability. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider speaking to a legal professional first.
